Cookie & Storage Policy

Last updated: 29 May 2026

1. Overview

Replysprout uses browser local storage rather than traditional HTTP cookies to save your preferences on your device. The effect is the same — data is stored in your browser — but local storage is never transmitted to our servers as part of HTTP requests.

We use essential storage only. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking scripts, with the sole exception of Stripe's payment scripts on the checkout flow (described below).

2. Local storage we use

The following keys are stored in your browser's local storage:

KeyPurposeExpiresEssential?
rs_cookie_consentRecords that you have accepted our cookie notice so the banner is not shown again.Persists until you clear browser dataYes
rs_totalTracks how many reply templates you have generated in total to enforce the free trial limit.Persists until you clear browser dataYes
rs_is_proRecords whether you have an active Pro subscription so unlimited access is granted.30 days from purchase, or when subscription expiresYes
rs_pro_expiryStores the ISO date on which your Pro subscription expires.30 days from purchaseYes
rs_is_lifetimeRecords whether you have purchased Lifetime access. When present, unlimited access is granted permanently.Persists until you clear browser dataYes

All of the above are classified as essential as they are strictly necessary for the service to function as described. Under PECR, strictly essential cookies and equivalent local storage do not require prior consent.

3. Third-party cookies — Stripe

When you click “Subscribe”, you are redirected to Stripe's hosted payment page. Stripe may set its own cookies on your device during the checkout process for fraud prevention, session management, and analytics purposes. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Stripe cookies are only encountered if you initiate a payment. They are not set during normal use of Replysprout.

4. Analytics cookies

We do not currently use any analytics cookies or tracking scripts. If we introduce analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested via the cookie preference centre before any analytics cookies are set.

5. How to manage or delete local storage

You can clear all local storage — including Replysprout's data — through your browser settings:

  • Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Note: clearing local storage will reset your daily usage count, cookie consent preference, and Pro subscription status in the browser. If you have an active Pro subscription you can restore access by returning to the pricing page and subscribing again, or by contacting us.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version.
